Probate and estate attorneys

Search work for probate attorneys, priced on the result

The families who need you are searching at a kitchen table late at night, and they call someone from the first page. We move one firm per city onto it, and you pay after it has held for fourteen days in a row.

The moment that matters

An estate does not shop around for long.

Somebody has died. A son or a daughter is holding a folder of papers they do not understand, and there is a court deadline they have only just found out about. They are not comparing five firms and reading reviews for a week. They want a person who obviously does this, today.

So they type four words into a phone. They read the first page. They call one or two names. That is the whole process, and it happens before you have any idea it started.

The firm that answers is very often not the best probate lawyer in the county. It is the one that was visible at eleven at night.

What we found in Louisville

We audited thirty seven firms before we asked anyone for anything.

Thirty one of thirty seven

had no mention of probate in the title of their own homepage. Not buried low. Absent.

Fourteen of thirty seven

had no page anywhere on the site about probate, while advertising it as a practice area.

Nine perfect pages, thirty eight places apart

Nine firms had a technically flawless page. They ranked second, third, fifth, thirteenth, twentieth, twenty ninth, thirty second, fortieth, and one was not in the top forty.

The number that carries this

Small search volume, very large value per search.

We will not tell you that thousands of people a month are looking for a Louisville probate attorney, because they are not. Google's keyword planner puts every probate and estate phrase in this city in the same band, between one hundred and one thousand a month, and we pulled that with the location set to Louisville rather than the whole country, which is the setting that decides whether the number means anything.

Here is the number that actually matters. Firms bidding on that phrase are paying up to thirteen dollars and thirteen cents for one click. That is Google's own published figure and you can check it in a minute inside your own ads account.

Be careful with that number, because it is easy to overstate. You will not get all hundred of those searches, and no organic listing gets every click. What the bid tells you is what a visit is worth to the firms competing for it, and they are the ones with the best view of that. If even a small share of those searches reach you each month and one of them becomes an estate, the year has paid for itself.

Questions probate firms ask

How many people actually search for a probate attorney in Louisville?

Google's own keyword planner puts every probate and estate phrase in the Louisville area in the same band, between one hundred and one thousand searches a month, pulled with the location set to the city rather than the country. It is a small number and we would rather tell you that than inflate it.

If the volume is small, why is it worth doing?

Because of what each one is worth. Competing firms are bidding up to thirteen dollars and thirteen cents for a single click on that phrase, which is what Google says they are willing to pay for one visit. The page one organic listing collects the same visits and pays nothing per click.

Does this help with the map results as well?

It helps and it is not the same job. The map pack is decided largely by reviews, proximity and how your Google Business Profile is set up. We fix the profile and the category as part of the work, but we sell and measure the organic position, because that is the one we can actually count.

My firm does more than probate. Does that matter?

Only in that we pick one phrase to win first. Most firms we look at do estate planning, probate and elder law together, and the pages are written so generally that none of them rank. Winning one specific phrase first is what makes the rest easier.

Can you work with more than one Louisville probate firm?

No. One firm per market, and a metro is one market however many city limits sit inside it. Jeffersontown, St Matthews and Middletown all compete in the same Louisville results, so treating them as separate towns would be selling the same page one three times.

One probate firm per city.

Ask whether yours is still open. We answer the same day, either way.
